Stop living in the past: P Chidambaram to Nadda on PMNRF grant to RGF | India News

NEW DELHI: While Congress continues to corner the Centre on India-China faceoff at Galwan Valley, BJP continues to criticize Congress on dynasty politics, Emergency and also claiming misuse of public funds by party leaders during the UPA era. Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram on Saturday asked BJP national president JP Nadda to “stop living in the past” and instead answer questions about the current intrusions made by the Chinese Army in Eastern Ladakh.
In series of tweets, the former finance minister during the UPA rule, Chidambaram asked Nadda what do the grants made by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation 15 years ago have to do the territorial intrusions being made in 2020 by China.

The Congress leader said that even if RGF were to return Rs 20 lakh grant it received from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF), will it bring back the territory India lost to China.

Chidambaram said that the BJP leader needs to “come to terms with reality, don’t live in the past that is distorted by your half-truths.”
