bulk deals: NSE-BSE bulk deals: Victory EM Small Cap Fund laps up Escorts; HDFC MF buys stake in TCI

Mumbai: Among the key bulk deals on Wednesday, Victory Emerging Markets Small Cap Fund lapped up shares of tractor maker Escorts, while HDFC Mutual Fund bought shares of logistics and supply chain company Transport Corporation of India.

Of the frontline indices, Sensex shed 0.5 per cent to close at 38,194, while Nifty dropped 0.4 per cent to close at 11,278.

Here’s who bought and sold what in some of the key bulk deals of the day:
>> Victory Emerging Markets Small Cap Fund bought 8,03,003 shares of tractor manufacturer Escorts at Rs 1,165.44 per share.

>> HDFC Mutual Fund bought 8,64,000 shares of Transport Corporation of India at Rs 215 per share, while Himalaya Finance & Investment Co sold 10,45,664 shares of the company at the same price.

>> Grovsnor India Investment Fund sold 1,62,450 shares of Control Print to India Max Investment Fund at Rs 217.96 per share. At the end of June, the two entities held 1.03 per cent and 5.48 per cent stake in the company respectively.

>> Overskud Multi Asset Management bought 28,000 shares of Tembo Global Industries at Rs 173.11 per share, while Tia Enterprises sold 26,000 shares of the company at Rs 173 per share.

>> General Insurance Co of India sold 2,09,057 shares or 0.51 per cent stake in Zicom Electronic Securities at Rs 2.20 per share. The shareholding pattern showed that the insurance company held 0.51 per cent stake in the company at the end of June.

>> Consortium Capital bought 25,000 shares of Regency Investments at Rs 30.80 per share.
