Vodafone idea share price: Stocks in the news: Vodafone Idea, Tata Steel, Maruti, SBI and Future Consumer

Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 47.50 points, or 0.42 per cent higher at 11,428.50, in signs that Dalal Street was headed for a positive start on Tuesday. Here are a few stocks which may buzz the mst in today’s trade:\

Vodafone Idea: Debt-ridden telecom operator Vodafone Idea on Monday said it will seek shareholders’ approval to raise borrowing limit to Rs 1 lakh crore, at the annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled to be held on September 30.


Maruti Suzuki:
The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India on Monday said its total production in August increased by 11 per cent to 1,23,769 units.

State Bank of India (SBI): Top lender has plans to hire at least 14,000 people this year. Separately, Bloomberg reported SBI priced one of the riskiest bank capital securities at a record-low coupon, in the latest sign that investors are confident policy makers’ stimulus steps will help large issuers weather the pandemic.

Tata Steel: In a move to save Tata Steel’s UK operations, the British government has planned to rope in investment bankers to come up with a rescue plan, a leading UK-based news channel reported.

Future Consumer, CESC: Dishman Carbogen Amcis, Future Consumer, CESC, Mafatlal Industries and Spencers Retail are scheduled to announce their June quarter earnings on Tuesday.

Manappuram Finance: Manappuram Finance on Monday said it has raised Rs 100 crore by issuing bonds on a private placement basis.

Future Lifestyle Fashions: The company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 352.95 crore for the first quarter ended June, on account of lower income. The company had a net profit of Rs 24.54 crore in the same period a year ago.

Motherson Sumi: Automotive component maker Motherson Sumi ‘s proposed non-convertible debentures (NCDs) worth Rs 3,000 crore were assigned “IND AAA” rating with a negative outlook by India Ratings and Research, the company said on Monday.

Indiabulls Housing Finance: Franklin Mutual Series Funds-Franklin Mutual Beacon Fund sold 31,00,000 shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance at Rs 194.04 per share. At the end of June, the fund held 2.05 per cent stake in the company.

PNC Infratech: The company said its joint venture with SPML Infra has won a Rs 290 crore water supply project in Uttar Pradesh.

Shriram City Union Finance: Cornalina Acquisition (FII) sold 12,23,810 shares or its entire 1.85 per cent stake in Shriram City Union Finance to Arkaig Acquisition (FPI) at Rs 965 per share.

Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Overseas Bank: State-run Bank of Maharashtra has slashed its marginal cost of funds based lending rate (MCLR) by up to 10 basis points for select tenors effective Monday. Its peer Indian Overseas Bank NSE (IOB) also said it will cut its MCLR by 10 basis points (bps) across all tenors effective September 10.

ICICI Bank: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday arrested Deepak Kochhar in connection with a money-laundering case registered nearly a year and half ago against the businessman and his wife, former ICICI Bank chief executive Chanda Kochhar.
